Memorial Day was a couple days ago and the Facebook page for the Minnesota State Fair posted this historic picture from 1942:
The caption read: "In honor of Memorial Day, we present this photo by Simacek from the 1942 Minnesota State Fair. It depicts U.S. sailors standing at attention on a floral field of red, white and blue for The Navy Day program, held to assist in recruitment for World War II."
